Way2Chat ("we", "our", "us") operates the live chat platform available at this domain. By using the service, you agree to this policy.
Account data: When you register, we collect your name, email address, company name, and password (stored as a bcrypt hash — we never see your plain-text password).
Usage data: We log the pages your visitors view, when chats start and end, and satisfaction ratings — all to power the analytics inside your dashboard.
Visitor data: The chat widget collects the IP address, browser user-agent, and page URL of your website's visitors when they start a conversation. This data is stored in your account and is accessible only by you and your agents.
Communications: Messages sent through the chat widget are stored in your account's database so your team can reference conversation history.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your conversation data to train AI models. We do not serve ads.
All data is stored in a MySQL database hosted on your chosen server. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. API keys are stored as bcrypt hashes. Session tokens are random 64-character hex strings that expire.
Your .env configuration file is excluded from version control and never transmitted. Access to the admin panel is protected by session-based authentication.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
The chat widget embeds on third-party websites (your customers' sites). Visitors to those sites are subject to this policy and the privacy policy of the website operator.
We use Google Fonts (loaded from fonts.googleapis.com) for typography. Refer to Google's privacy policy for details on how font requests are logged.
The admin panel uses a server-side session cookie to keep you logged in. The chat widget stores a session token in localStorage (not a cookie) so returning visitors are recognised. No tracking cookies are set.
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Contact us at admin@way2chat.com.
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
