Acceptable Use Policy
The rules that keep Way2Chat safe for our customers and for the people who chat with them.
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses the service through your account, including your agents and assistants.
1. Content you must not send or host
- Anything unlawful, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
- Child sexual abuse material, which we report to the relevant authorities.
- Threats, harassment, or content that promotes violence or hatred against people based on protected characteristics.
- Malware, phishing pages or links, or anything designed to deceive people into giving up credentials or money.
2. Activities that are not allowed
- Sending spam or unsolicited bulk messages, including through proactive chat invitations or visitor emails.
- Impersonating a person or a business you do not represent, or misleading visitors about who they are talking to.
- Collecting special category data β such as health, biometric or religious information β or government ID numbers, without a lawful basis and the protections the law requires.
- Asking visitors to type full payment card numbers or card security codes into a chat. Direct them to a proper payment page instead.
- Using the service to run scams, fraud, pyramid schemes or other deceptive commercial practices.
- Using the service where a failure could lead to death, injury or serious environmental damage.
3. Protecting the service
- Do not probe, scan or test the security of the service except as allowed by our responsible disclosure rules.
- Do not overload the service, flood the widget or API with automated traffic, or try to bypass rate limits.
- Do not access, or try to access, another customer's account or data.
- Do not reverse-engineer the service or copy it to build a competing product, except as the law expressly permits.
- Do not work around the limits of your plan, for example by sharing one account between separate businesses.
4. What we do about breaches
Depending on how serious a breach is, we may warn you, remove content, suspend live chat on a website, suspend your account, or end your agreement, as set out in our Terms of Service. Where the law allows, we will tell you why. We may also report unlawful activity to the authorities.
5. Reporting abuse
If you see the service being used in a way that breaks this policy β including a chat window on another website β email admin@way2chat.com with the website address and what you saw.
