Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use Way2Chat β including the people chatting with our customers.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across this website, the dashboard and the chat widget. That is also the standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act.
Current status
We have not yet completed a full independent audit, so we do not claim full conformance. This statement describes our own review honestly, and we will update it as we improve.
What is in place
- A βSkip to contentβ link as the first item on every page.
- Navigation, sign-in and cookie menus that work by keyboard, close with Escape and show a visible focus outline.
- The cookie settings dialog uses a native modal, so focus stays inside it while it is open.
- Page landmarks, a declared page language and text alternatives for images.
- Animations on this website are reduced or removed when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Labelled controls in the chat widget, which can be opened and used by keyboard.
Known limitations
- New chat messages are not yet announced to screen readers. A screen reader user has to move to the message list to find a reply. Fixing this is our highest accessibility priority because the widget runs on our customers' websites.
- The chat widget does not yet reduce its own animations when reduced motion is requested.
- Some secondary text on dark backgrounds may fall below the recommended contrast ratio.
- The animated product demo on the home page is decorative and does not have a text equivalent.
Tell us about a barrier
If something stops you from using any part of Way2Chat, email admin@way2chat.com with the page, what you were trying to do and the assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within five business days, and can provide the information you need in another format in the meantime.
